Serendipity (Mother’s Morning Out Program) at The Matrix is Huntsville’s newest fitness based preschool program!  Children will be provided varied learning experiences in a nurturing & caring environment.  Serendipity curriculum is developmentally appropriate for preschool aged children and each child is given many opportunities for creative expression, socialization & oral communication with children and adults!  It is the hope of the Serendipity staff that each child will develop a life-long love for learning and fitness and reach their fullest potential!

Program Description

The Serendipity Program will combine arts & crafts, cognitive learning, music, field trips, & special celebrations with a fitness curriculum utilizing our State-of-the-Art Whiz Kids gym & tumbling facility!  The Matrix will ask parents to provide transportation for field trips and any other special events off-site.

Registration

Parents will be required to fill out a registration packet completely and be able to provide a copy of their child’s immunization record and doctor’s health release, if necessary.  Children who are 2 years of age by September 1st of the current school year are eligible for enrollment.  Registration will begin at the end of January and will continue until classes are full.  We have a limit of 18 students per class in our 3&4 year old classes and a limit of 15 students in our 2 year old classes.  When classes are full, a waiting list will be generated.  The Matrix requires a $75.00 non-refundable registration fee at the time of enrollment.  

School Calendar

The Serendipity Program will follow the Huntsville City Schools calendar system.  Please see our website or handbook for scheduled closings. 

Snack Time

Children will be given a snack time around 10:30am while at The Matrix!  We ask that you help provide snacks for the class every five to six weeks!  Please ensure the snack is nutritious and low in sugar with milk or juice to drink!  The “Snack Bag” will be sent home your child the day before to remind you of your assigned day!  

Birthdays & Special Celebrations

Several times a year, Serendipity will have special events in which parents/families will be invited to participate!  Everything from Pumpkin carving, to a graduation party wrapping up another FUN and exciting school year!  The Matrix and Serendipity want to make sure each child’s birthday is special too!  Parents are encouraged to bring snacks on the day of their child’s birthday and we will have a celebration honoring their special day!

Tuition

• Annual pricing is based on a 9 month school year (August to May) 

• First month’s tuition (August) is due by July 15th.   

• A 10% discount will be given for siblings and/or a full year tuition payment.

• A one-time $50 Special Event fee is due prior to the first day of class

• On occasion, a small cost will be involved for field trips
