Brad Lovvorn
Brad comes to The Matrix from Top Dog in Montgomery, AL. His numerous awards and accolades make him one of the most talented coaches in the world of cheerleading! His love for the sport and his focus on technique are a fantastic combination in preparing athletes for cheerleading and tumbling at any level. He is definitely a driving force behind the scenes of The Matrix and his relentless hard work and outstanding talents, help make The Matrix a one of a kind place to train.
Brad began his cheerleading career at Lithia Springs High School. He then cheered for Navarro Junior College and The University of South Alabama. He transferred to The University of Hawaii in 1993 where his squad won the NCA College National Championship and he was selected as a NCA Collegiate All-American. He also cheered at Hawaii Pacific University where his squad received 2nd place at UCA College Nationals and he placed in the Top 5 at COA Partner Stunt Nationals.
Brad was a 1990-91 WCA Instructor and a 1996-1997 UCA Staff Instructor. He has coached numerous National Championship Junior High and High School squads, individual National Champions, received an NCA Innovative Choreography Award and has been published in Cheer Magazine.
His creation of the first All-Star Cheerleading squads in Montgomery, AL opened many doors for he and his wife, Nancy, and their gym, Top Dog Cheerleading. Over the years their squads have received many awards including, two CANAM Nationals Championships and an Athletic Championships National Championship. Brad travels all over the United States to judge and safety judge High School and All-Star Competitions and Nationals.
Although Brad loves All-Star Cheerleading, his love for tumbling and technique are perfect for any recreational or school squad wanting to improve their skills. His focus at The Matrix is on the development of all kinds of squads…not just All-Stars. Whether it be jumps, tumbling, stunting, or even a pom or competition routine, Brad and his wife Nancy are the only coaches to train with!
Brad is currently a USAG Professional Member, AACCA certified, National Judging Certified, National Safety Certified, All-Star Coaches Conf. Certified, USAG Level 1 certified, USAG Safety Certified, CPR/AED certified, and First Aid certified.
Brad and Nancy currently reside in Huntsville, AL and enjoys riding his motorcycle and traveling abroad in his spare time.
