Charlotte Allen

Charlotte retired this year after 27 years of teaching school and she coached cheerleading for last 26 of them. Over the years, her squads have won numerous local, regional, and state championships and have been finalists and runner-ups at NCA Nationals. Because of her accomplishments in this area, she and her squads have helped produce and participate in such events as the Outback Bowl, the Orange Bowl, the Hula Bowl, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin, Ireland, and the Down Under Bowl in Australia. Jasmyne Brown

Jasmyne is from Lee's Summit, MO and has recently moved to Huntsville to attend Alabama A&M University.  The Matrix is so lucky to have Jasmyne joining the staff!  She brings expertise in Tumbling and Trampoline and will also be competing with The Matrix T&T Team!  Jasmyne has won numerous awards, but some of her most recent accomplishments include the 2006 Level 9 NATIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPION on Trampoline and the 2007 Level 10 NATIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPION on Trampoline!  She also just placed 8th at the 2009 Visa Championships that were held August 15 in Dallas, TX!  Please help us welcome Jasmyne to her new Alabama home!  Oh, and she is also Coach Jeffery's sister!   

 Jeffery Brown

Originally from Lee's Summit, MO, Jeffery is currently a member of the Senior National Trampoline and Tumbling Team.  He moved  to Huntsville to join the Matrix staff in September 2008 and is coaching both team and recreational classes.   Read More ... 

Pennie Elmore

Pennie has always had a great interest in Cheerleading and Tumbling and began her training in Junior High School. She has been coaching tumbling for over nine years and served as the Pre-School Program Manager at PEAK Performance in Arab, AL where her students have grown to love her demeanor and positive outlook. Pennie has also coached Levels 1 & 2 Recreational Gymnastics and PeeWee Mini All-Star Cheerleading Squads. Read More ... 

Nancy Ikehara

Originally from Hawaii, Nancy moved to Montgomery with her husband Brad to open Top Dog Cheerleading in 2001. She cheered at The University of Hawaii from 1993-1996, where she served as Captain from 1994-1996. While cheering at Hawaii, the squad was two-time West Division Champions and had two Top Ten finishes at the UCA College Nationals. Nancy placed 1st in the UCA College Partner Stunt National Championship Preliminaries and had two Top Ten finishes at the same event. She was the COA West Division Partner Stunt Champion and finished in the Top 5 at the COA Partner Stunt Nationals. Read More ... 

Lacye Hodnett has been a member of the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Staff since 2006 and was named the NCA Top All-American Cheerelader in 2003.  She has taught gymnastics and cheerleading since 2004 and her accomplishments even include performing at the Hula-Bowl half time show!  Lacye competed for 10 years as a USAG Jr. Olympic Gymnast in levels 4-10.  She was a member of the Auburm University Gymnastics Team and while attending Troy University, she was a member of competitive Hip-Hop Dance Team.

Brad Lovvorn

Brad comes to The Matrix from Top Dog in Montgomery, AL. His numerous awards and accolades make him one of the most talented coaches in the world of cheerleading! His love for the sport and his focus on technique are a fantastic combination in preparing athletes for cheerleading and tumbling at any level. Sven Nielson

Sven was a 4 time National Champion on trampoline and double-mini trampoline by the age of 11.  Sven competed at Level 8 in gymnastics and qualified and placed in Nationals.  Since Sven is Coach Joy's youngest son, he had the opportunity to spend much of his time in the gym surrounded by talented athletes, as well as, exceptional coaches.  Sven played football throughout his High School career, putting his Trampoline and Tumbling on hold.  He currently coaches recreational classes, as well as, helps Joy and Jeffery with the T&T Team program. 

Joy Umenhofer

In February 2008, Joy moved to Huntsville from Pocatello, ID to join The Matrix! She has been the owner of JoysJym in Pocatello since 1986 and has trained thousands of athletes worldwide to succeed in T&T, as well as life. Tiffany Wray 

Tiffany currently is a Senior at Alabama A&M University.  She also cheered 2 years at the collegiate level for the Bulldogs!  Tiffany has over 10 years experience with All-Star Cheerleading and has been involved with various tumbling programs and gymnastics for over 14 years! 

Les Zarzeka

Les is originally from Poland, where he obtained a Master's Degree in coaching and teaching at the Academy of Physical Education.  Before immigrating to the United States in 1991, Les coached competitive gymnastics in Poland and Canada.  His first gymnastics job in the United States was in Jacksonville, FL, where he coached girls' gymnastics.  Several of his gymnasts competed and went on to become Florida State Champions.  Les moved to Monroeville, Alabama in 1999, where he opened his own gym, Allstar Gymnastics.  Four years ago, Les and his family moved to Huntsville, where he continues to enjoy coaching!  The Matrix is thrilled to have Les' expertise on our staff!
