Nancy Ikehara


Originally from Hawaii, Nancy moved to Montgomery with her husband Brad to open Top Dog Cheerleading in 2001. She cheered at The University of Hawaii from 1993-1996, where she served as Captain from 1994-1996. While cheering at Hawaii, the squad was two-time West Division Champions and had two Top Ten finishes at the UCA College Nationals. Nancy placed 1st in the UCA College Partner Stunt National Championship Preliminaries and had two Top Ten finishes at the same event. She was the COA West Division Partner Stunt Champion and finished in the Top 5 at the COA Partner Stunt Nationals.

Nancy then cheered at Hawaii Pacific University, where the squad was named the West Division Champions and finished 2nd at UCA College Nationals. Again, she placed 1st in the UCA College Partner Stunt Preliminaries and finished in the Top 10. She won the COA West Division Partner Stunt Championship again and finished in the Top 5 at COA Nationals. While at HPU, Nancy was awarded the Outstanding Cheerleader Award, voted on by her peers.

Nancy’s love of children and her enthusiasm for the sport of cheerleading are evident in her coaching and demeanor. Her creativity and expertise in pom and competition choreography have led many teams to awards and national titles. The Matrix is proud to have Nancy as the co-director of the All-Star Program and head choreographer.

She is a USAG Professional member, USAG Level 1 certified, USAG Safety Certified, ACCA certified, National Judging certified and CPR/AED/First Aid certified.

Nancy and her husband Brad now reside in Huntsville.
